School-Based Opportunities
Speech and Language Pathology
Our school- based therapists efficiently work with a team of experts with the aim to improve the student’s general receptive and expressive language and overall communication skills for academic success. Individual Education Plans may aim to treat language delays and/or disorders, speech disorders such as stuttering, or focus on a child’s overall social/pragmatic skills. Our therapists are provided with research based intervention materials to ensure optimal progress towards IEP goal(s).

Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists provide services designed to develop, maintain, improve, or restore neuromuscular or sensory-motor function to relieve pain, acquire a skill set, restore a skill set, or control postural deviation in order to receive equal access to educational programs provided by the school.
Physical Therapy
School-based physical therapists ensure that children with a functional limitation or disability receive equal access to educational programs provided by the school.
Nursing
Our school-based nurses provide first aid care and health assessment. Write care plans and coordinate the care of students with chronic or acute health conditions. Communicate with teachers and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of students. Administer medications and monitor delegated medication administration. Assist in the evaluation of students for Special Services (Special Education). Coordinate and provide vision and hearing screenings. Assist families in accessing health insurance and health care services. Educate and train staff on: asthma, life threatening allergies, diabetes, and blood borne pathogens.
